    Tasco Pro Point

I just picked up a Tasco Pro Point at Wally world. I have a Tasco 4X scope on my high point and they seem to hold up pretty well. I know several people who use them and are satisfied with them. Just wondering if anyone had any experience with them. Everything in the gun section was 25% off to move out old inventory so I picked that up and 20 boxes of 7.62x39 for 2 bucks a box. Figured for the price, if its a bad scope, im out 30 bucks, no biggie. I'll throw it on something with low recoil like one of my .22's. Opinions?

I haven't had the bucks yet to really get the optics I want for my .223, so I slapped a Wally World $40 Tasco on it. So far, after 500 or so rounds, it's held zero just fine, and does everything I need it to do. It's hard to suck up on a scope that costs more than the rifle, although I'm sure I would notice the difference, no doubt.

I've used cheap scopes in the past, the glass isn't as clear as higher priced scopesmbut they do what they are intended for,Usually light recoil firearms,Years ago I bought a 3x9 NC STAR with lit reticle, scope looked really great on my AR10,I couldn't zero the scope, the recoil was beating it up and the thing was shooting all over.I learned my lesson that day.
I actually have a SUPER SNIPER Mil Dot scope on my AR10 now,I'm pretty sure that it is a Tasco design and it handles the recoil really well

I use them on my 22/45. It seems like I buy one once a year. I know, thats pretty stupid of me... but thats what I've been doing.

I have one on my Remington Speedmaster (.22). I popped a gator at about 100 yds with it (one shot). It'll do for critters and such.

...good chance it will last through the 1st magazine.
but i would refrain from betting real money on it.

best used for 10/22's and other low recoil firearms.
