I have a RRA with the 20" predator heavy barrel and flat top... I can't say enough good things about this rifle. It shoots great!! Water bottles at 300 yards are no problem.

For a target rifle, no problem. I like mine just fine, it shoots very accurately. I might go with something a little more robust if its going to be a high volume shooter.

What is the intended use? For plinking, varmint, and shooting dirt clods, go for it. Agree with SIXTO, for possible HD or high round count, I'd look towards BCM, Noveske, Colt, DD, etc.

Mainly to shoot coyotes, water bottles, dirty bird targets, and killer watermelons. Probaly wont see 1000 rounds in its lifetime. RRA must be pretty good. They have contracts with the DEA and FBI.

They had contracts with the DEA, along with Colt and Sig, it's another internet rumor that RRA was the sole source supplier.

I have a 20" RRA coyote upper with a couple thousand rounds through it and zero issues. It is my coyote and prairie dog rifle... and I hunt weekly as well an continually practice at ranges from 25-400 yards.

here are some shots at dog sized targets at 185 and 173 yards, offhand, after roughly 1500 rounds.... no accuracy degradation at all.

I have been very happy with the accuracy and reliability of it, especially when I am out in the desert in the sand and dirt hiding in bushes and washlines waiting for my prey to come in....

I would recommend it to any hunter

here is two targets at 296 and 314 respectively, from a rest, one shot each....

RRA makes a decent hunting rifle.
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe
