Since it is an HK clone, I would check in over at www.hkpro.com and do a search. Can't remember if Vector is connected to Speshull Weponz-if so I would stay away.
As far as the .357 Sig version- should be awesome. The roller-locks do not bleed off any gas, so full power is used to propel the bullet. Which brings another question to mind: be sure Vector is using the roller-lock system in their builds. If not, it will be some blowback variant, in which case you lose all of the RL advantages(Smoother cycling, faster shot recovery, reliable cycling with variable power loads).
Okay, I did some research on Vector Arms since I am in the market for their .308.
All internal parts, up to the amount allowed by the US guberment, are HK parts. Mostly just the receiver is USA made and it is I believe sheet metal, not just aluminum.
It will take all the parts of the series it is "cloned" after.
I haven't heard anything bad about them, just that they "aren't a real HK". Now granted, I would love an HK original (all HK parts) but $1000 compared to $3000+ is quite a difference.
Also, if you get the pistol version and what to play with it at a later date, it is simple to install a fixed or extended stock. Just be sure that you apply/get approval on a form 1 (at $200) and you can make it into an SBR.
I've sold several dozen. One had a defective recoil system, and Vector overnighted a replacement without complaint.
I look for guns they build in-house myself but at this point I'd buy almost anything they sold as long as Michelle told me they'd back it.
