I'm actually interested in this.
Especially an AK format for the 5.56 NATO.
Keeps my ammo consistent with my AR15, but with the AK gas system.
Anyone heard anything about this? Good or bad?

Looking forward to handling one.
Good luck with that. It'll be 2-3 years minimum ,if we even see one...

I don't know a whole lot about the AK. I know enough to get by I guess but not the finer details. Now, I know we can get AKs in 5.56 now but from what I understand, they aren't as reliable as the 7.62x39 due to so ethic with the tapering. I can see building up a small AK collection when this becomes available. I'd really like a standard AK47 and 74 as well.
Now, hopefully they won't sell these with that silly brake that the 74 got.
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe
Am I the only one who keeps thinking it's a 12 gauge? I know the Russians have a habit of naming the AK's after the years they're introduced, but this keeps throwing me off.
