    Anybody have a Bernelli shotty?

I was in the market to purchase a Mossberg 590A1, and then I saw the Benelli shotguns. Anybody have one or heard good things about them? They have an attractive appearance, and I was just wondering if they are as good as they look. Thanks!

Benelli? I have a Benelli M1 Super 90 M&P and love it, but they really are not comparable to the Mossberg 590A1's. The M1, M2, M3 and M4's are all just "generations", so my M1 is the oldest in the series. All are semi-autos. The M4's the latest (and very pricey). Is the 590A1 a pump action?

I have a Mossberg 500 pump, great gun at a great price.

Pump versus semi. Your pick, very different price points.

The word shotty is, to me, like the sound of someone scratching their finger nails on a chalkboard. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Now to answer the OP: The Nova is a nice shotgun but I think the 590 is the bomb diggety yo!.

I have an M3 Super 90 also... it is a pump/semi convertible with the twist of the collar. I love it.

I own a Benelli Nova tactical with rifle sights. 18.5" barrel with extension tube. 6+1 capacity.

Fantastic shotgun and yes, the ergonomics are superb. Action is smoother than every Mossberg or Remington I picked up when shopping for a HD shotgun. Will shoot 2-3/4", 3" and 3-1/2" magnum shells if desired. Takedown is laughably simple. I'll post pics later when I'm at a desktop.

    Paid 389 at a LGS.

Best I can tell you is to go try it yourself. I can't explain the smoothness and do it justice.
