What to buy, what to buy?

Ok, so I promised the wife not to buy any more firearms for a while and am squirreling away a gun fund. I'm thinking of the following

    A Springfield SOCOM 16
    Benelli M1 90
Match Grade AR (Bushmaster or Rock River)

I all ready have an M4, and a good shotgun so I'm leaning toward a higher power rifle...let the polling begin.

    Talking

I voted SOCOM, but either of the other choices would be great!

If you are going to go with a Battle Rifle, you should start a poll for .308 semi-autos (*cough* DSA FAL *cough*).

While the FAL is a proven rifle in all aspects...I've never been that fond of it. It's a little heavier (1.00lbs, approx) and I like the way the M14 family handles. Then again I've always been a sucker for prior (and still in use) U.S. Military weapons, I guess the Marines will do that for you.

I'm thinking of shooting in competition, so the Matchgrade AR comes to mind, while I could get a match greade m14 the cost of .308 would kill me,

I' love to shoot and burn a lot of ammo and until I find a method of getting a reloading press in a one bedroom apartment(I'm thinking of mounting one to a microwave cart and sticking it in storage while not in use.)
I myself even voted for the SOCOM, but that's jsut how I feel at the moment. The SOCOM will provide more puch, is still easy handling, and looks pretty damn sexy if you ask me.

But if I so start shooting for competition...DCM / National Match it is.

I hear ya...I'm a sucker for M1 Garands, but I bought a DSA Congo with an 18" barrel, and I'm pretty impressed with it.

I picked the AR because it wasn't getting enough votes.

I voted on the SOCOM, but only because I already have a tactical AR set up. (Rock River)
