Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~ Paul Howe
Yeah, I was kind of speechless at that too. Almost made a snarky remark about boosting his post count, but decided that since he has access to the "Banned" button, I'd better not.

Need access to at least 100y (200y preferred) range/place to shoot so I can do some 5.56 load testing (crono and accuracy) and get my reloading done. Within 1 hour from Denver would be cool.
Will pass on my learning from the Mike Pannone Carbine class that I took - $225 value!
Did you pluck the black bungee cord off the front of your bag? I could have sworn the small ones had them.

The Springfield M1A is pretty much my dream rifle, I have wanted one basically forever, but never been able to get enough cash together to pull the trigger on one.
Recently I have been doing some research on prices. And now it seems the M1A Loaded add is on the top of every page for me, but maybe that is just a coincidence.

Yup, I just checked my old pics. The small ones are supposed to have it. I don't remember when I pulled it if it was on there or not. Bummer.
Well, nothing that $1.75 at the local craft shop wont fix. 1/4" elastic cord in your choice of colors. Although I wish mind had some MOLLE webbing on the front, but that would defeat the purpose of a "Sneaky Bag". My medium worked great on my wife's mountain outing with her DSLR camera carrying tripod, monopod, and a few other odds and ends in lieu of the camera bag. Only asked once where I got a snowboard that small to fit in it (we were in a ski town).

"Just blame Sixto"
My thing is that for big purchases like that, I can usually get two or three other things I really want for the price. Like last time I had cash in hand for a M1A, I instead purchased a Rem 700 SPS in .308 w/scope, and the Marlin 1895 you found for me.
Any more parts show up lately? Did you ever say if you are gonna put optics on the SBR, and or what they are? Or is the Aimpoint from your Spikes going onto it?

I am going to put an optic on it, I'm kinda leaning towards a EoTech XP, but if I get my hands on another Aimpoint for a good price, I'm not opposed to going that route. Nothing has showed up for a while. I have a rail, Magpul CTR and a lower parts kit. I do have an extra BCG from another project that never really got off the ground so I can use that if the BCM takes forever to get here.
Speaking of Marlins, I found a older NIB "C" model. I was going to buy it, but was foolish. I went to the ATM to get some cash and another dude found it and bought it while I was gone. I should of spoke up and pulled it off the shelf. Oh well.

Its okay, you can borrow mine for an afternoon if you really want to shoot one. But I won't sell it to you. That was a rookie move, not taking it off the shelf. The shop doesn't have any decent deals on SKS's or AK's do they? I have an AK project I want to do.
I thought you were forsaking EO-techs after some recent experiences with them.

Yeah, I know. Boneheaded move... but I was lazy and paid the price.
I'm not forsaking the EoTechs, in the right role I like them just fine. But on a true patrol rifle, I think the Aimpoint is the way to go. This build will amount to little more than a home defense and range toy, so I'm looking at the light weight and simplicity of the Eotech. It smaller, lighter and a cleaner mount is mainly why I'm leaning in that direction.
