That is one ugly rifle. I would love to get my hands on a .30-30 lever-gun, but that thing would be the absolute bottom of the list. Give me a Marlin any day.

I don't like the look of the rifle at all, but you have to consider the market. We have friends that live in the People Republic of Kalifornia who are treated like criminals and are limited to the types of firearms they can purchase or own. This feels the void and I wouldn't want to be down range from the guy with a lever action and knows how to use it. Ugly??? Yes, Practical for our "criminal" neighbors??? Yes. I prefer wood, but this would work for someone who had no other choice.
