My LGS has several of these guns and said they have sold well for him. They are priced below $200, which is way less than I could build a short barrel 870 for. I can't find much in the way of reviews on the net and RIA's website is vague in its description of the gun. Anyone have any experience with this gun?

I just bought one last week. It is a good, basic HD shot gun. Haven't shot but maybe a box through it so far and it has fired every time. I bought a 7 shot tube that replaced the 5 shot it came with. Here is a link to where I got the tube from. Don't forget to get the longer spring if you get the longer tube.

Thanks farmerbyron! Thats what I wanted to hear. The one at the local shop has a 7 shot tube already. It looks pretty good I think I may go ahead and pull the trigger so to speak!

Just looked a little more...MSRP is $213.13 Did a search on Gallery of Guns "Gun Genie" found a local dealer here in Florida selling them NIB for $173.24
Not a bad price for a new pump shotty.

I'm not familiar with a 914...I know S&W made a 916, actually was made by Howa in Japan.
