See a bunch of 870s and 590s here. I picked up another 500 kuz my last 500 had been to hell and back and you know what? It ate whatever I fed it as long as my shoulder was willing... even if it wasn't the only shotgun to pass some military testing ;) I did add a collapsible stock not because I wanted the grip but because I like the short pull.

I get a huge blast out of shooting my double-barreled side-by-side coach gun at cowboy matches. (My cheapie Brazilian coach gun is so poorly regulated that the two barrels don't shoot to the same point of aim, alas.) But I have lots of fun with it at matches anyway.

For serious applications my Mossberg 590 A1 pump stands ready.

About 50 minute drive from my house, 3 minutes from my dad's.

6, yes 6, armed BG's in a coordinated forced home invasion.

Anyone volunteer to be armed with only a coach gun in this situation? :scruntiny:

Not me.

Now that I think about it, I don't really feel confident that my current home defense "arsenal" is quite what it should be.

*note to self; give "that guy" a call about those claymores he always half-jokes about*

P.S. Glock 19 is not my home defense, just my daily CCW.
