New AR is ready to go.(pics added)

I just received my lower today from my FFL and my new super spiffalacious AR is ready to be slapped together and taken for a test drive.

    Upper is a BCM 14.5 with a fixed A2x.

    BCG is BCM.

New lower is a PSA Moe edition in OD green.

Sights are fixed front and a Troy folding rear. When I have a few extra bucks I'm going to put an Aimpoint T-1 on it.

I think I might use my M&P15 lower for now because it is proven and the trigger is quite a bit nicer. I'll slap the PSA lower on my M&P15 upper because that gun is set up for plinking. The new gun is going to be set up for SD.

Sounds like a winning AR build, I am hoping to do a similar one in the not too distant future.

Farms are always a lot of work Timmy, did you think it would take care of itself?

I've noticed a drop in the number of your posts. I figured it was the farm.

Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe

It sure is. I only have enough time to post when I'm at...cough cough...when I'm at work.

I was going to post my pics but I didn't have enough time between church and work to get it done. I'll post pics, I promise.

    Tractor pics too. : )

ETA: Oh, I forgot to mention that I got the medium BCM Gunfighter charging handle and MAN is that thing nice. I wasn't sure if it would be worth the money but it is WAY better than the standard milspec. It's beefier and easier to manipulate.

As a lefty I can reach up with my left hand and rip that charging handle back fast and without changing how I'm holding the gun.

Anyone got ideas for an accurate and durable AR. I need it to be around $1,000 and be able to stand up to the West Texas desert.

There are about 1000 threads on this exact subject. Do a search. You'll find most of your answers there, and with no waiting. Then come back again with specific questions you might want to know.

The search bar is toward the upper right hand corner of the web page. Good luck and good reading.
