What a wonderful shooting rifle. I forgot to take my camera to the range with so I do not have pics. When I got the rifle the front sight post was all the way to the right so I centered it basically by sight and feel.
Set a target at 25 yards bottomed out the rear sight and came up 12 clicks and took a shoot hoping to be on paper. The shot was dead center. I put three more down range and had a tight little group. Went to the hundred yard range shoot one it was about an inch low made a few adjustments now I an hitting about three inches high at a hundred yards.
The wind came up and there were a bunch of guys at the range so I decided come back another day for the two and three hundred yard ranges. I still ended up shooting 40 rounds just having fun.

I have several semi-auto .308 but my first love will always be the M1A.

I have loved this rifle since 1966 (Fort Gordon Ga Basic Training)
