Take a look at this one, $79.00 plus shipping with a high rise cantilevered base that will let you add a magnifier if you want one later. You won't have it today but PA has always shipped very quickly when I have ordered from them.

The Bushnell Trophy series have also got decent(though sometimes mixed) reviews and may be available locally at one of the big box outfitters.

I may order one of those in the next month or so, gotta wait till budget clears for it. I found a couple dirt cheap (less than 30 bucks) ones at the LGS I may look at just to play with. I am going to an indoor range tomorrow, the bad thing is I think they said it is only 25 yards, id like to find a place I can shoot 100 yards or so.

It would be quite a drive for a range day, but if you are ever going to be in the Youngstown/Akron area give me a shout and we can set something up. I have access to a very nice semi private range.

I have only been that way once or twice but come mid July I will have some free time (kids will be with their mom) and maybe able to swing it. I dont like taking the kids out on these trips to often as they get bored really quickly.

Well I have lost faith in this and have not fired a shot. I took the pin as described in the manaul for field stripping and I accidently pushed out the safety pin instead (dont ask), anyways I put the pin back in but it wont align and wont come off safety. Taking to where I got it to see if their smith can get it fixed.

UPDATE: I took the rifle back to my LGS and they could not figure out the pin and said their gunsmith would not be in until Tuesday and they basically suggested that at that point to swap it out for a different one, which they had none in stock so I instead brought home an M&P 15.22 in its place and with what was remaining of the difference I got a somewhat inexpensive red-dot by Tasco for it. Shooting it tomorrow.
