I want a Huey too, with mini-guns on the doors! Who wants to fly it while I shoot? :image035:

A short list:
Me: The Millenium Falcon
Wife: A Huey
Seriously, if I won a big prize - it'll be hard since I don't gamble - I would clean out all my debt and take care of jr's college education in advance. After I take care of that, I'll add the survival rifles we come up with on my survival rifles thread, a SAGE M14, get me a piece of land in the country - away from most metro areas, stock up on survival stuff, then get me the Huey with the mini-guns :image035:
Wow, a wish list, huh?
Okay, here goes:
Pistols:
HK Mk.23 SOCOM
Mateba Unica Model 6 (in .357Mag) (http://www.kitsune.addr.com/Firearms...ba_Model_6.htm)
FN FiveSeveN (x2)
S&W M&P40 (The one on the list I got!)
Precision 1911 (From one of the better Gunsmiths. Haven't looked into these enough to name which one. It's too hard to clean drool off the keyboard)
SMG:
HK MP7 (kinda ugly, but an interesting concept: http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg49-e.htm
HK UMP
FN P90
Rifles:
Sig 550
Marlin 30-30 (my next gun)
Springfield M1
XM-8
FN SCAR (in 7.62x39)
Shotguns (not much for shotguns, but):
Pancor Jackhammer
Military Hardware:
AH64 Longbow Apache
A-10 Warthog
MIRACL (http://www.fas.org/spp/military/program/asat/miracl.htm)
Sci-Fi:

Colt Peacemaker
M1 Garand
Colt 1911
Do y'all reckon one of those Klingon cloaking devices could be shrunk up enough to be handy for deer season. Might put Mossy-Oak outta' business.
Pak - I've been reading about a couple of scientists in different parts of the world working on a personal cloaking device. Attached is a video that is (as far as I know) an authentic demonstration of one of the prototypes.
Exodus if that is real I'd love to get a custom Predator (you know the classic sci-fi movies with Arnold and Danny) suit made to fit me. I could seriously freak some people out with that.
Well Scout, I've read about them in respected tech journals, and the video looks authentic. I've also seen a similiar technology on an APC. It was eerie. It looks just like the predator effect, only it was a freakin' armored personnel carrier. It's basically a flexible fiber optic screen tied to several cameras and bound to a computer. It will essentially show what's on the opposite side. Pretty effective. Not perfect, but close enough. I imagine it's still fragile, and the power requirements probably limit mobility.
It would be a blast though! A Predator suit would be cool.
Its only a matter of time until it becomes more practical. Like everything else, we will make it more powerful and compact.
The drawback to the cloaking warbirds is that they have to come out of cloak to fire weapons systems. You still get the element of surprise, but others still get a chance to get a shot or two off.:biggrin2:
As for my wishlist? I am slowly working on that.
Must haves are small arms for close in defense, shotguns, and hand guns. I have always had a thing for Winchester 1200's. That should handle things out to about 50-75 yards rather effectively. 1911's for the up close and personal for 25 yards and under. A couple of good sturdy knives for the really close up and for skinning and food prep.
As for what is beyond the 75 yard mark, a .308 or .30-06 with a good scope would suffice. Since I don't fly any type of birds, I'll stick with keeping my feet on the ground or to the water. I kind of like a snipers mindset. One shot and move, one shot and move. By the time anyone gets a bearing of where I am firing from, I will be elsewhere, maybe even right next to you helping you try to find me.:biggrin2: :biggrin2:
