I really enjoyed the recient "Survival Rifle" thread and it got me to thinking, I like being prepared for such as this, but what would I really like to have? So with that in mind what does your "Dream Arsenal" Consist of? You know the items you can't really afford but if you won the lottery you would have asap....
HK Mark 23 .45
Sharps .50 (historical value)
about 10 different 1911's
Thompson "Tommy Gun"
CIWS (Close in Weapons System) From USN, 20mm belt fed lead laser.
and a room with one each from the latest copy "gun guide 2007" so I can try each out.
Oh and my own little ammo factory so I don't ever run out of play time.....
Get a napkin to wipe up the drool now...
What do you want?

September 9th, 2006 06:20 AM
A pair of Wilson Combat 1911's
A pair of 1st Gen Colt Peacemakers (for history sake)
a Kalnishakov (sp)
and H&K UMP
2 H&K Tactical pistols
A volcan cannon like that on the A-10
In the worse case senerio wher I would have used all the ammo there is a good compound bow. I would have to do research to find what is the best, but I would guess the arrows would be reusable. ( I don't know I haven't had any experience with one so don't jump on me, had enough of that this week)
I took this as a dream list these are what I want. There are only about six that would be realistic for worst case scenerio.

45-70 revover ( not sure of make)
Berretta xtrema shotgun ( for the wife)
Tanfoglio gold match (45)
If I really thought about it I could come up with more , but these are a good start .

Dang - potentially big list!!
I know a Spinger 1903 would there - plus a genuine Thompson. Then too an early trap door.
Oh and a Barrett 50 cal - naturally

M60A3 fully equipped of course. It comes with 105mm main gun, .50 cal. cupola mounted machine gun, coaxially mounted 7.62mm MG, and 4 M2 grease-guns. Also carries appropriate supplies of HEAT (high explosive anti-tank), HEP (high explosive plastic), and anti-personnel rounds.
Armored Personnel Carrier with cupola mounted Vulcan 20mm Gatling gun cannon. All accessories to be included.
Hey, if you guys can dream of MaDueces and Vulcans, I can dream of the systems to carry them. With my two systems I won't need to put anything else on my list, I will accept those as tribute.
For anyone wondering why I did not choose an Abrams. I know how to maintain the AVDS1790 engine in the M60, but I know absolutely nothing about maintaining turbines.

Best way to learn anything is to get to work! I never thought of an Abrams. That would be a nice grocery getter! hehehe.
Maybe a huey too...
Looks like we all have similar tastes, high cyclic rates and massive ammo volume. I have a few ideas for weapon systems but nothing firm.

If it were man portable and controllable in full auto, it would be on the list. For example:
Suppressors for everything that would make sense to suppress.
What else -
4" 1911 Custom made on a titanium frame.
Mauser C96 rebuilt to like new condition
Hk USP 40
Tanfoglio Gold Match in 45ACP
Savage lever action
Hammerli Target Pistol
Left handed bolt action built to my specs
And last but not least, a WWII Jeep with a machine gun mounted on it ala "The Rat Patrol"
That's a start, at least.

Just all the equip and facilities of knife and gun manufactures that have recently gone out of buisness as well as any leftover inventory.

Sig 220 Combat TB w/suppressor, Rohrbaugh R9s, Sig 239 SAS 40cal, Sig 229 Equinox 40cal, Sig 226 Two-Tone 40cal, Ruger MK II w/ suppressor.
Mint IH M1 Garand, M1 Carbine Paratrooper, M1A Socom 16, 870 Police 14", Benelli M4 w/ Surefire and Aimpoint.
BAR, HK UMP 45 w/suppressor, Full-Auto M4 w/ everything I can think of, M249, M60, M2, Krinkov AK-47, Full-Auto 10/22.
I'd also get and AH-6 Little Bird helicopter with a mini gun on one side and two rocket pods on the other.
That's about it. I guess I could live with only having those guns. Now all I have to do is start playing the lotto.
