I had no idea the shotgun with 00 buck was actually worse for over penetration than a .223/556 round... knowing this I'm going to move my shotgun farther back in the safe and keep my AR15 more accessible.
Am I the only one surprised by this?![]()

Nope .............. very few people bother to do the research necessary to access such information.

Next thing they'll tell us that birdshot isn't a good manstopper. Wait what? It's not? :(

Rule #4. I'm sticking with my 870.If you knew that there is a person in a room behind the bad guy and you're only separated by drywall, would you really risk taking a shot and rely solely on the bullet to not hurt or kill someone in case of a miss?

I've got it loaded in my AR. If you missed the picture of my little Bushmaster, here it is. Hogue forend, Eotech sights, Magpul magazines, and PDX1 ammo. Just something to play around with..

Very nice! I have a Bushmaster as well, M4A3 Patrolman, love that rifle!
Now that I know I can use it for HD I'll put some money into it, it's bone stock right now with the exception of a Hogue pistol grip. Mine has the non-removable front sight on it though, so I'll probably need a riser for any optics I decide to add on, if I decide to.

Mine is also the Patrolman carbine. The front sight is removable. I took mine down to Predator Customs and had them assemble all the pieces for me. It was less expensive to do that than to buy all the tools to do it myself. Here's a couple more pics of it.

Forgive the lousy photography. You shoot a lot better photo than I do.

Haha, thanks - looks really good, I may have to look into that now that I know.

You're way too kind. Here is the second picture that I intended to post with the carry handle removed and the Eotech in its place.

I have my AR in the front so it is the first weapon I grab. I have it loaded with Hornady Urban Defense rounds.
