Aimpoint h-1 on riser mount or eotech 512 factory mount (AR-15)
Ok so a buddy is offering to sell me his gently used h-1 on a riser for 1/3 cowitness (I have folding sights anyways) for $400 tax tag and title.
Or I could go out and buy an eotech 512 brand spanking new for like 375.
I consider price irrelevant in this case bc I will spend $25 on batteries easy with my eotech and the h-1 batteries last absolutely forever
What do y'all think? I use my ar for home defense and pig hunting... I've shot an ar with a 512 but I've only shot the h-1 on my buddys SCAR so it's kind of an apples to oranges comparison for me.
Has anybody shot both setups on an AR? If so which would you recommend?

I think it matters what you like best.
I like Aimpoint.
A 9mm might expand but a .45 will never shrink enough to fit 17 in the magazine.

Chappy just be careful that it is not an imitation Aimpoint, there are lots of those floating around.
"A first rate man with a third rate gun is far better than the other way around". The gun is a tool, you are the craftsman that makes it work. There are those who say "if I had to do it, I could" yet they never go out and train to do it. (WETSU)
