Simple is good at times. I'd add a VCAS sling with the wire loop adapter that goes around the rear of the plastic hand guard, then a cheaper Surefire in an IWC mount. Theres also a rail section that attaches to the front sight post for a standard light and mount as well as a section that extends in front of the front sight post and allows you to mount an X300, which is pretty cool, but I have no experience with that one.

Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe

Jon, buy some metal mags please. As much as I love Pmags, they don't look right on a rifle with A1 handguards.

I have GI mags all over the place, just no 20's.

    Thanks guys!

Of course, I do find myself saying 'ok, just this part - and then I'm done'... last night I ordered an ambi-safety for it, being a lefty I made do, but feel that's one part I'd really benefit from swapping.

    ... and then I'm done.
