Close Quarters Patrol Rifle class
Just finished an all-day CQB class by our local SWAT guys. Great training--they loaned me a plate carrier chest rig--it was 96 degrees outside--that sucker was HOT--and I was the oldest participant by about 30 years
Didn't finish at the top--but did consistently above average agaisnt the young guys

Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

Well done, and kudos for getting out there in the heat!
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

Yes--its pretty cool--the training that is--the weather--well. The final qualification course--lots of shooting, advancing on targets, firing around doors, lateral movements, more kneeling shots from cover, movement away from target, longer distance, engaging steel SMALL targets, advancing on the target and shooting aggressively while advancing---I could tell that my shooting wasn't so hot--I was not steady at all--but this OLD heart was pumping like crazy---I have also developed a lung problem in the past year--this didn't help much, but it was a blast!!!

No, it was more LE (single officer encounter)/home defense oriented.......

Very cool, glad you enjoyed it!
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe
