    Thanks, one shot.

We took the rifle out to the range yesterday, this time with the CMR and PMR ammo. We had a blast. It was a bit breezy but we were able to shoot 1-MOA clusters a few times. At the 25 yard range we were consistently shooting sub moa clusters. Even a few holes-in-one. The CMR is a great scope. I really dig the Zero-Lok feature.

I'm not too crazy about the factory trigger. It has too much creep and a heavy pull so I decided to buy and install a Mega Arms Trigger. The Mega Trigger is adjustible and is guaranteed to pull at 4.5 pounds. I'm hoping the new trigger will enhance accuracy a bit. I also bought a Centurion C4 Rail. This is a 12" FF Rail. The parts have shipped and they should arrive by Friday. I'll have to prepare the rifle for the C4 Rail by shaving down the FSB and cutting off the Delta Ring, spring and retainer clip. I'll do that in the next few days.

    I'll post a few photos this week-end.

The C4 rail and the Mega Trigger was installed last night. The Mega Trigger is a big improvement over the factory trigger.

Here's a photo I took a few moments after I finished unstalling the new parts.

Nice looking outfit. Glad to see you're getting back into it. It looks like you're already having a great time with it.

Hello, DCG. Thanks for the complement.

I had an epiphany a few days ago and I couldn't let it go.

I searched this and other AR forums to see if this had ever been done before and I didn't find anything on the topic or run across any photos. I even Googled the topic and found Squadoosh. I'm specifically talking about painting the gas block (I chopped off the FSB) and the gas tube in a color other than in Black. I think this Mod looks good, specially when visible through a FF Rail.

Here's what I'm talking about, and this is what I did..:

Let me know what you think.

More photos will be added tomorrow of the Rifle completely assembled.

LOL. They better be precise with the first shot.

I plan on going to the range tomorrow and firing at least a few hundred rounds. We'll see how the new paint holds up.

These photos taken about an hour ago...:

Let me know what you think.

    Thanks.

That is one sweet ride... I like the color too. I think I may go with a navy blue for just a tad of contrast... nice mods... real nice...

About the case... This is the 25 inch case available for $29? Looking at the picture, you don't have any trouble fitting the upper? Looks pretty tight.

Gaius, the ID is of actually closer to 26.25" so fitment of Upper is no issue. This is an incredible Case for the $$.

Cook74, I think Navy Blue paint would also look good.

    Thanks.
