I'd have to strongly disagree with you on that one, but that's just my opinion, take it for what you paid for it.

Or like me, with a BCM mid length with a Daniel Defense rail.

15 years and counting in the military dealing with "MIL-SPEC" quality weapons! Pay more if that gives you peace of mind!

Ok I'm curious...got anything specific? What in the TDP do you not agree with (on this topic)? Or are you just gonna throw around generalities and absolutes?
OD*, sammage, atctimmy and 2 others like this.

If you are talking to me....I feel no need to discuss the specifics of what I do for a living in order to gain anybody's approval. (as seen in this thread already). In that case, yes I'm just throwing around "generalities and absolutes".

TDP means technical data package, as in what specs are in building an AR, he's asking what points in the TDP you are bashing, which most likely has nothing to do with your background and/or career field.

I was not asking about your occupation. I was asking 'why'. IMO, it helps to follow up broad statements with some reasons why; rooted in facts, experience, etc. Making an educated statement that adds value to the forum would not give away your profession.

I would think that an AR built to "MIL-SPEC" would be assembled with a higher regard to detail of tolerance and attention paid to quality control. Like staking nuts, a finer finish and materials, and pressure and magnetic testing, float over non-float to name a few.

And yes, you have to pay more to get better quality and for that time spent on detail. Like my Mama used to say........Forest; you get what you pay for! So just like I paid more for my LCP over an P3AT. So will I pay $1.3k for an BCM, Colt, or DD. Insted of $1.1k for the BM, or RRA.

No need to get testy, we come here to ask questions, to get edgahmahkated about stuff when we have questions about firearm's things, and hope someone will kindly step up, and maybe type a helpful answer, while KINDLY, leaving their attitude out of that equation. If you feel the need to get someone's approval, then maybe you came typing too, the wrong place......YMWV

    Thank You Very Much Quartermaster
