Tri-mag coupler for Ruger 10/22 magazines

I was using one of these and seemed to be having some trouble with it. I was also using Winchester ammo, which may have contributed to the problem.

When using the tri-mag coupler & the Winchester ammo, I was having rounds get caught up when feeding...and caught up upon ejection.

I switched to CCI ammo, and the feeding problem stopped..but the ejection problem didn't completely go away.

I stopped using the coupler, and all problems vanished completely. Fired 300+ rounds and no problem, whatsoever.

so, is the coupler causing a problem? was it not tight enough?

or does the slight weight of the other two magazines cause the inserted magazine to not be attached fully & perfectly, causing the issue?

I'd love to use the tri-mag coupler as its a great idea.

Would be a whole lot easier to just use the Ruger factory 25-rd mag...but of course, NY bans such "assault" magazines with more than 10-rd capacity.
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

only 5-round magazines are legal in NYC.

    :)

edit: only 5-round magazines are legal for rifles/shotguns in NYC.

handguns can use 10-round magazines...or whatever it came with.

Well geez - might as well fire it as a single shot rifle. At least you won't need to worry about feeding issues...or offending his holiness Mayor "Term-limits-don't-apply-to-me."

I hope someone else can help you with the adapter - assuming that IS legal.
