Well, I work at Walmart. Bought my Bushmaster from them. Ten percent employee discount always makes the deal a little sweeter. Since I worked Black Friday, I have an additional ten percent "associate appreciation" voucher. I may just go in tomorrow and pick up that Colt AR with 20% off.

I've got 4 Wal-Marts within 30 miles of me in 3 different towns. All 4 carry Wihdham, Bushmaster, Sig, Colt and S&W AR type rifles at all times.

Yep I bought my Colt AR from Wal-Mart. I like it but not any better than my Palmetto State Armory AR.

I've seen a Colt AR at our Walmart within the last 2 months at the local Walmart.

Well, I had no idea that WM sold AR's. I bought my Colt LE 6920 two years ago from Top Gun Supply in Ohio for $1147. I tricked it out a little bit: vertical foregrip (grip pod) and scope.
I took the scope off and put the carry handle back on because I find that I shoot better using the iron sights.
I might pick up a Magpul rear flip up BUIS. Not sure yet what I'm going to do. I'm shooting just fine with the way it is now, so why mess with a good thing? Right?
A friend of mine uses an Aimpoint Pro -REAL quick target acquisition. I liked that a lot.
So who knows. Tricking out these AR's can get pricey.

My local Walmart tells me that as fast as they get the AR's in, as fast as they get sold. Same thing for the Ruger Mini 14's. God Bless

They just started to sell AR's (and guns & ammo again) at my local Walmart. They have a sig M400 for about $870 +/- with a CP2 Prismatic Optic on it. I am thinking of buying it. They also have the Windham for $700, but NO optics or sights at all. The Windham is VERY stock! So not sure which one to get. The Sig has NO iron sights, just the optics. Thinking of going with that for now but heard great things on Windham....
Any input from anyone?
