Question Regarding AR's Sold At Wal-Mart

Now, before you guys laugh, I was only wondering if you've ever seen a Wal-Mart have Colt LE 6920's in stock. I have a bet riding on this.

I had a hard time finding my Colt AR. Couldn't find one at any of my favorite gun shops, so I had to order it from Top Gun Supply out of OH.

Today, a friend tells me that they sell them at Wal-Mart and I said "no way".

So, have any of you ever seen a Wal-mart sell Colt AR's? And if so, do the Colt's have modified standards? Or, is it the very same Colt LE 6920?

Yep. They always have one in stock here. $1,097.00 I believe it goes for.

ETA: I know it's a 6920, but not sure i it's the LE 6920.

I have seen a 6920 at 2 or 3 different Wal-Farts in Maine. I don't know anything about the Colt's and whether the LE designation makes a difference, but they do sell the 6920 model.

I haven't seen the colt but our Walmart keeps several sig AR15 in stock in both 223 and 22lr. Nice looking firearms.

I've not heard anything about Colt running a special line of AR's for big box stores.

If I was in the market for another AR, I'd take a look at them.

Wal*Mart here had LE6920's.

It's the same 6920 you will find anyplace else. Colt, Sig, and others do not make special runs just to sell them cheaper to Walmart. It's pure foolishness.

I don't know if it was an LE (I think it was) but the Wal-Mart in a town very near me carries them. I believe it's a little over $1,000. I'm not too proud to buy one from Wal-Mart. Mine carries an 870 Tactical for about $360ish and I was very tempted to put it on lay-away.

Let me clear this up about the Colt 6920 and the so called LE 6902. First the weapon Walmart sells is the same 6920 and that is that.
During the Brady band the 6920 could not be purchased by the public Only military and LE. so they had to be stamp them that way.
You will some time see older ones with a LE stamp
Now it is legle at least for now to buy them so they are no longer stamped that way they are the exact same weapon.
The serial number will start with LE0000000.
1090 for a Colt 6920 right now is a deal better take it.

walmart here sells them someone here on this forum postged that and I checked it out they sell the colt ar and some sigs

Our walmart has Colt, Sig and DPMS brand AR's. Even had M855 ammo in the .30 cal cans for a while.
