AR15 Carbine handguards
I am looking for a front hand guard rail system
What brand do you like best? Why?
I am going with the drop in Carbine type. I have full float on my others. I don't want to make this one a full float type.
Thinking Knights Armament, YHM,Troy, Midwest,....
I will post some pictures once I get one.

Magpul MOE, love em. Feel great, not bulky and look awesome.

I have one from midwest. It is solid and not too pricey. I have no complaints about it at all.

I had a Daniel Defense Omega rail on my last rifle, very good quality.
I'd rather be lucky than good any day

I use a lot of MWI and Troy.

Midwest is just down the street from me! Lots of options there.
I am looking at the Knights Armament products.

If I need a carbine length drop-in handguard, without any doubt, I'd go with the Centurion Arms carbine cutout (not the FSP model).
The KAC RAS and the Daniel Defense Omega would be close seconds.
Proven combat techniques may not be flashy and may require a bit more physical effort on the part of the shooter. Further, they may not win competition matches, but they will help ensure your survival in a shooting or gunfight on the street. ~Paul Howe

Jon, out of curiosity, why would you shy away from the FSP cutout model Centurion rail?
The C4 rail is a great choice: easy to install, light, and built in QD sockets.

DD Omega and the Magpul are two faves.
FTR, I ended up using MWI's two-piece free-floater on my BCM... No mods needed to the front sights or what not (although you need to Dremmel the D ring and spring, but it took all of about 5 minutes, even for a mechanical moron like myself).
Gives you that "sturdiness" of a free-float, free of the potential "jiggle" from a drop in, without needing to make any additional modifications.

You really do not need to spend 180-200 for a good rail system. The ones Crowman listed are sold under a dozen brand names for 39-60 dollars they are 4 rail systems that give a good solid mount
