    Well, if you like the retro FSP, that is one way. Another option is a 15" tube handguard (Troy, MI, Samson) to get your Front BUIS out there at the end, and not have the weight of a 15" quad rail.

    Another advantage of the MOE handguards is they are light weight. This rifle weighs less than my M4gery with a carbine length quad rail. The only things getting mounted on the rail are a light and VFG, so its not like I need to worry about them maintaining zero like I would need to if I had a PEQ on there.

    I do like the looks of the "old" FSP, I think that's the Marine in me who feels like every rifle should have irons on it. The plan for optics is a 1-4x scope, so having the FSP out there won't cause any problems.

    The only rifle I plan on building that I don't want a normal FSP out there is when I do a DMR build.
