His name couldnt be anything else besides Boris....perfect.

Never been there but I have been told Russia has some very long cold winters, wonder how long it took to build.

Wonder if he offers classes?

I was there in the Spring time, but there was no spring. Just cold, damp winter. Brrr.

One can do lots if he has the time and imagination to do so.

At first I did not believe this, after seeing this I am truly impressed.

After seeing the link in the original post I was so inspired that I spent the whole afternoon out in the backyard trying to build an M1 out of a shovel.

The project was a bust. It wasn't so bad for a first effort but wasn't what I wanted. Here are a few photos of the results of the attempt before I set it out with the trash.

Despite a couple of attempts, I got the bore a bit too large and it wouldn't ever shoot more than twice at a time.

Truly, if it cracked up a 10-year-old, my evening is made.

The shovel AK is pretty amazing too though.

On the other hand it's apparent that an AK would come closer to being capable of being fabricated into a viable shovel than an AR would.

Something tells me the bottle of Vodka had something to do with it
