NEF Survivor .308
I finally ordered a NEF rifle.
I've been lusting after one of these little gems for a while now, playing with them at the local gun outlets and researching them online. I thought I was going to get a .223 just to have something inexpensive to shoot, but I saw a Survivor model that has a 22" bull barrel, Weaver scope rail, synthetic thumbhole stock, and chambered in .308. Wow, I gotta have it! First chance I had, I ran to my local gun dealer and had him order one for me. I can't wait to send some lead downrange with it. If any of you out there has any experience with this gun, please let me know.
Thanks, PAPACHUCK.

I have a NEF .223 bull barrel, with a Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16x scope. It shoots MOA with handloads. My only gripe is that it has a 1:12 twist. I wish It was 1:9 or 1:8 It would be better than tossing pills that weigh as much as a .22 rimfire.

I don't have a survivor model, but the Ultra Hunter in .25-06 that I just picked up shoots great. It's funny that the scope cost the same amount as the rifle. It still shoots sub-MOA though, so I have no complaints.

I have the model that you ordered in .308. It is my deer rifle. I was going to use it this year, but due to the leg, I decided to not venture in the woods and tempt fate. Its got a nice lil' kick to it. It handles well and is accurate. Make sure you get a sling, it will help make it easier for you. The shoulder stock is hollow so you can store a compass, cleaning kit, matches, or ?
I have a Burris variable 3x9 lighted scope attached. You use no batteries, you shine a flashlight on the crosshairs for a minute or two and they glow like tritium nite sights for a few hours.
I also have a lil' .17hm2 in one of those lil' rifles. Its a very fun toy.
You are getting your moneys worth. Be safe and send me a venison steak.
