Congratulations & Merry Christmas!
Very nice! Congrats on the new rifle.
When I was at the Academy, we used M14's for parades. Funny how the Army wanted "real" rifles for the parade field - but not on the battlefield.
Now we've gone full circle, and the Army is re-issuing the old warhorse for service in A-stan, where its long range and hitting power is sorely needed.
Count me as jealous, Gman. Enjoy the rifle. Let us know how she shoots. I'm sure she won't disappoint.

Gman, glad you got the one, anyway. With recent events, any kind of battle rifle is getting hard to find. Hope you enjoy yours!

I was always a Garand man until I found out my dad carried a 1911 and the M1 carbine as a Seabee. Now the carbine has edged its way to the top of my wish list. But if the Garand happens to fall into my lap--there it will stay!
