There's a fair amount of .223 rounds on Armslist listed around STL. I didn't really pay much attention to prices but given the current panic, you may not have much choice.

Go talk to your LGS if you're a regular. Mine advertised themselves as being sold out, but they had it all stashed behind the counter for people they recognized to keep outsiders from buying up their stock and reselling it later. The other store I frequent had signs limiting 5.56 to two boxes a customer, but let me take as much as I want because I was a regular.
