AR muzzle devices - Brake / Comp
I'm in NY so a flash hider is a no go for me.. But I'm looking for a brake or comp for my rifle... seeing if anyone has any suggestions for me.
I need one that's available in 1.5" length, I am running a 14.5" barrel.
Now the hard part... I need something that won't be overly obnoxious to the shooters that may be next to me, so something with reasonable side concussion. As well as something that won't be insanely loud, but that aspect is most likely hard to find.
I live in the People's Republic of New York.

Maybe a Troy claymore or Spikes tactical dynacomp. Both appear to port out the front and may be less abusive to those around you. I have not personally used either, but try researching these brakes.

PWS makes some, AAC makes some. I'm sure there are many others. You'll be wanting a comp instead of a brake if you want to spare the shooters around you.

AR muzzle devices - Brake / Comp
I love my Dynacomp.
Zero muzzle rise and the blast on my 14.5 isn't horrendous.

I can't even begin to express how uproariously funny I find it that a "Flash Hider" is illegal but a brake or compensator is not.

I'm assuming you realize that it has to be permanently attached to the barrel to be legal

Yeah that's NY. And yes it has to be perm attached very aware of that haha. Thanks again. Still looking around.
BCM Compensator is on back order, but was interested in that as well as the 1.5 BC.

Yep..it has to be blind pinned and welded to meet the criteria.

Yeah I have a BC 1.5
Hoping to get a BCM before my hand guard arrives at the end of the month, if not going to use the BC

Bravo co just introduced a new comp , might be worth checking out if legal.

Yeah that's the one I'm waiting on to come in stock. It has until my hand guard arrives at my house to become available :D
