Just made my first Shotgun purchase . . .
It's a Mossberg 930HS.
Bought it because I want the wife to be able to shoot without having to worry about it being a pump action. Also liked the 7+1 and 18 inch barrel. Looked at quite a few others, but at 469.71, what the others offered, I just didn't want to pass this one up. Looking forward to shooting it.

Congrats and enjoy your new mossy. Mossberg gives the shooter more bang for there buck. And in these times we all need that.

Well - woke up this morning to the news that they "made a mistake" and were out of stock.
Stopped by Wally-world to buy a couple things - and found this:

Stevens 320 12 Gauge.
Not exactly the Mossberg, and not semiauto, and only 5 + 1. However, it was $199, without shipping fees or FFL charges. A difference of around $300. That buys a whole heck of a lot of ammo, or if I can talk the wife into it, almost another handgun.

True, though not when I'm home. I really doubt my wife will have the ability to work the pump action while holding the shotgun steady with the other arm.

Well, after much research and reviews I finally purchased my first HD shotgun. I stumbled across a 12 Gauge Mossberg Persuader, 5+1, 18 1/2 Barrel Shotgun at Dunhams for $300 bucks.
The salesmen at Dunhams were very knowledgable and friendly. They took a great deal of time to educate me about my Mossy, the various Shot Shells I can run through her and assured me that my purchase was worth the money.
I am looking forward to shooting my Mossy at my buddy's property and learning all that I need to Discover about my Mossy. Not to worry my friends here at Defense.com, my close friend is retired 82nd Airborne and well versed in handling Weapons.
I know, I know my Shotgun doesn't exist without pics but I will download them here as soon as possible, promise.
Thanks
Frado
