I got an ATI tactical stock for an SKS, and I'm trying to install the cheek rest. Their instructions say to "pull down on the latch lever and remove the butt stock."
So are they referring to the latch underneath that adjusts the length of the stock?

Yes - the latch that adjusts the length of the stock will also allow it to be removed. You have to pull it way more than you normally would though.

Never mind. It broke so I threw the piece of crap away. I'll never buy another ATI product again.

I reserve the right to hide behind any tactical but stock in my family and that's my tactics and I'm stick'n to it.
There is a solution but we are not Jedi... not yet.

I bought the tapco stock for my sks, would recommend..... but get your finger under the lever and push out and the stock will slide right off
