I was just in a gun shop yesterday and saw a stack of 30 round AR-15 mags for $30.00@. Good price, or not? I do not have an AR-15, so I don't know.

Used to sell for around 12 bucks. I guess if you need them. If not wait and see if the price comes down. Month or so there will be more out there. There are a lot of new ar owners out there who have the one mag that came with it an nothing more. Let them buy one.
I doubt the price will every get back to the 12-15 range but I feel the the 20 range is more like it.
Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything.

If you have to have a 30rd mag, then get. Other than that, I wouldn't buy it at all.
Given the current market, yeah that is a decent price. However, the junk asian mags have been making their way back into the market too. Make sure its a decent mag before you plunk down your hard earned cash.

Depends on the maker. Regardless of the price, you don't want to pick up mags that are junk. There are probably as many bad ones out there as good ones. Stick to Colt, NHMTG, PMag, maybe a couple of others, and you'll have some good equipment

I bought 3 Tapco 30 round mags from Sportsmans Guide. With my $10 off coupon I got them for just over 31 bucks shipped. I think they still have them for that price, or close to that.

Not a good price.
Check out the Mako Group's 30 Mags (Made Israel), decent quality for ~$18 (there are plenty of coupon codes out there for 5%~10% off and free shipping also).

Buy some and resell them on gun broker. Today they are going for $ 55 to $75 each.

Saw them at Cheaper Than Dirt today and they were priced at $59.95...which by the way is not cheaper than dirt.
Me and a few other guys there were laughing.
No body was buying them.

I wouldn't pay that much for them.
Listing the guns you own in your signature doesn't impress me or anyone else. Listing the amount of rounds downrange this year and training classes you've attended might though.
I have a crap-ton of GI "green follower" mags still in the plastic. Guess I should be out gouging my fellow gun owners right now, huh?
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.
Never owned an AR but friend gave me a brand new orlite Israeli made 30 rd mag. I have no idea if the thing is a good mag or not except ive heard the Israeli stuff was good??? No idea what ill do with it since I doubt ill ever own an AR. Nothing against em just not top of my get list.
