I have a Bushnell 3x9x40 on a rifle the power selector ring is VERY stiff what would you suggest to lube it with.
I would read the manual and speak with the manufacturer before applying any kind of lube to a scope. It doesn't sound like a good idea. I imagine they are sealed and the lube is between O-rings - you wouldn't just "apply lubricant" to it. Is the scope mounted on a weapon already? How much time have you spent moving it from 3 to 9 and back again?

What is the temp? My scopes in general are hard to adjust in very cold. I agree with above be care what type of lube you use. If it is petroleum based could damage rubber rings.
Fast is fine, but accuracy is everything.
