    How About This .308 AR?

And now for something completely different...

    New Turnbull TAR-10 . 308- Serial # TAR-000001 : Semi Auto Rifles at GunBroker.com

In color case hardened steel no less. With exhibition grade walnut stock.

At that price, stack 'em up until I can't see over the top of them!

For a gun that sold for 136,024.00, that engraving sure did look a bit weak.

It's still an AR. They're kind of like Glocks, you just can't pretty 'em up. What makes an AR beautiful to me is what makes it a more useful battle rifle. Some of that you can't see, or need to look closely- steel type, barrel treatment, rifling, chamber, feed ramps, trigger, action spring and tube, bolt carrier...

To me, this gun is as useless as that molded soap that sat in my grandma's bathroom for 20 years. Pretty wood though.

Firearms as fine ART have been around as long as firearms. We don't need to own them personally to be able to appreciate them. They are a part of our heritage.

I got a muzzle break just like that one for my Eagle Arms AR10 I'd only ask $36,000

Gorgeous. If I had that kind of disposable income, you can bet I'd put a bid in.

But then, I have a weakness for ARs dressed in fine wood furniture.

    Be still my heart.

I've developed a yen for a figured walnut stock on an AR 15. I've imagined one with a triangular handguard like the one in the second thorugh forth photos but I do like that example with the grooved handguard as well.
