    For those with Mosin Nagants

Just thought I'd give you a heads-up on a great deal on ammo. Picked up a couple more 800rd crates of surplus Czech ammo after going through half of my first crate. This stuff is hilariously cheap, extremely reliable (NO duds or misfires after ~500rds), and quite accurate (good groupings at 50, 100, and 150yds so far). The ammo is somewhat corrosive, but mosins were built to chew through this stuff.

This has become my preferred plinking rifle of choice. It's the absolute cheapest-to-shoot firearm I can imagine this side of .22lr. And it punches holes in hard drives like a hot knife through butter.

For those more visually inclined and interested, here's a picture of my M44:

    And the ammo:

I'm tempted to get another M38. I'm pretty much milsurp-less right now.

My M38 just Loves that Ammo also. I bought some before the price went up. I wish the range was open so I could go and play. LOL...

    Yep Hobbs.

I don't have a phone number for them to call and the last time I went there, it was closed.

Yeah it depends on the muzzle loader and modern gun deer season, IIRC.

Should be open now though here's one # 479-789-2380 for the Parks and Tourism Dept.,.

Hey thanks for the number. I will put it in my phone so I will not lose it.

I'll call and see if I can go play this weekend.

If not I have vacation I need to take before the end of the year.

Okay, you go up there much? I'd probably count myself as one of the "regulars" up there.

For years I'd either have either milsurps or modern type mil style semi-autos. And tote my range stuff in one of those pull behind flight bags except for the reddish brown cast iron bech rest I'd use.

I go as much as I can when I'm not working.

If you ever see a little white Dodge Dakota there that's a little customized, I'm there. LOL...

Just took my M38 out to blow a few rounds through it. I also bought the ammo from AIM. No problems at all
