    Took the AK-47 plunge

I swore that if the AK-47 ever dropped to a reasonable price, I'd get one. One week ago, it happened! Got my new baby online. After shipping and FFL transfer fee it was $570!

Took it straight to the range, squirted some rem oil onto the rails and threw 60 rounds of 7.62x39 down range. It felt awesome! And very similar to my already owned AR-15 as far as recoil. It's a much simpler gun but extremely satisfying to shoot. Pretty to boot :)

    I'm a happy camper!

That looks sweet congrats. Out here AK's are much higher than AR's price wise nine hundred to a thousand for a PAP pistol.

Congrats!! Sweet lookin' rifle ya got there. I got my first AK in 2005 and, several additions to the family later, couldn't be happier with them.

Hope ya shoot it till your trigger finger's sore!!

Nice:) I dont understand it, but AK prices are still way high here in TN. AR prices are normal, now.

I like the AK 47, over the 74, too.

For that price, I'd have jumped all over it too. Around here, AR's have gone back to normal but AK prices are still insane.

Great looking AK. In my neighborhood that would be a steal, looked at one the other day but at $849.00 they can keep it.

Thanks guys and gals. I'm really liking it. I'm an AR-15 fan also but there's something basic and functional about an AK-47 that just resonates with me. It's kinda like owning a revolver or Glock. They're simple but they work.

I actually bought it from J&G Sales. There was a thread here on DC a few weeks ago and I jumped on it. If you're truly looking to get a good AK (and I was very happily surprised that this one is amazingly good!) for less than $600, give them a try!

    Good deal and nice AK!
I got mine (Norinco) a few years ago because they were about Ĺ the price of an AR. Now Iím torn about, when I get the funds, whether to get an AR or another AK.
