Almost too pretty to shoot- New rifle!!

Got rid of my Sig 556 just because there was not enough after market support for it. Got a new Rainier Arms Ruc Rev 16'' to replace it and it came in today! Can't wait to get to the range next week!

What a letdown! I quickly opened it up thinking it was going to be something like a real rifle, like maybe a Winchester 94, M70, Henry, or something with blue steel and checkered wood!

I feel more let down than a teen boy after his first date.

Another look-alike, evil black gun. I feel more let down than a teen boy asking for that first date.

Nice rifle, welcome to the dark side.

I'm wondering what type of light that is, and how well it's going to hold up to eating muzzle blasts all day.

Nice, I got into the evil black guns about a year ago. Got a DPMS LR.308. Love large calibers.
When I brought it home wife said "Its an army gun, why did you get it?
My answer.... Because Obama said I should not have one..
Plan on getting one for each of my sons soon.
But I still love my Henry lever action with real wood stock. Of course it had to be .44 magnum
Really want a M1 Garand though before we can't get our hands on that classic.

You say that just because at my 40th HS reunion the girl I dated told me she did because I had the hottest car in school. All those years thinking it was me...

My wife has one on her rifle, the Magpul AFG. We both love it. I'm a bit jealous of it. They're cheap, too (price-wise, not quality. Quality is top-notch). I think I'll probably buy another'n for my rifle.

And OP, I'd definitely move that light down a good bit. No need for it to really extend much beyond the rail system, but it definitely needs to be away from the muzzle. JMO, YMMV.
