Need A Little Help With A BCG Extractor

I was wondering if someone could please answer a question for me concerning the extractor .I take the extractor apart once in a while when cleaning AR.

The pic below is the extractor obviously. The little piece above it with the spring is my concern.

I knocked the spring loose with a brush by mistake. Is it ok to pop it back in, or do i need to replace it? I didn't know if the spring was made into the plastic,or if it pops out.First time i knocked it out, ugh.

Thanks a bunch for any info you can give me.

You're fine. It's removable. Make sure not to leave out the insert inside the spring.

Actually, the little piece with the spring on it is the extractor. The slightly shiny part to the right is the part that slips over the cartridge rim to grab it.

That's why it's not a bad idea to have few extras. Those little suckers have a habit of falling out and disappearing.

I've never knocked it out before.Wasn't paying attention.I just didn't know if the spring was made into it or it just popped back in.
