    Shannon and her AR

So, in regards to my carry case question, here is my wife Shannon and her new AR. Its the Smith and Wesson M&P 15 Sport. Paid $705 out the door for it here in California which is a complete steal. I'll be pitching the idea of an RCO to her, change out the hand guards for a barrel guard so she can use my bipod and then she wants it painted pink by T&Z Armory.

This one has quite a history behind it. We originally purchased it in august but DOJ put a delay onto her DROS for 2+ months and wouldnt tell anyone why. So this week I got absolutely irate, called and proceeded to say some not so nice words. They turned decided to tell we needed to fax about 10 papers in and it was approved in about 18 hrs.... Thank you Cali!

She's pretty stoked and I'm glad to have gotten one that was in to firearms and shooting. I mean how many wives ask for an AR15 for an anniversary gift.

The ones considered keepers. Take good care of this one, they're really quite rare.

My wife is a Marine, and after her MOS schools she received a sizable signing bonus. What did she want to spend some of it on? The best AR she could find. We got her an LMT MRP (Lewis Machine and Tool, Monolithic Rail Platform). It was not cheap. But dang is it sweet.

    Awesome!

I get stoked when the Missus buys a pistol, I'd probably have a stroke if she brought home an AR....

That's one heck of a smile there. Reminds me of that ~5yr old girl some months ago that was posted showing an ear-to-ear grin while blasting tight little groups at the range.

Asks for an AR for an anniversary gift, eh? Expensive tastes, but oh so practical. Gotta love partners who are so practical.

PittyPat, at least she didnt blow it on a car like we so often see haha.

Shes currently completing nursing school and then has plans to apply for commissioning in the air force. Hopefully her officer pay bonus will add more to the stable haha.

Would yall believe 6-8 months ago she was ABSOLUTELY anti gun! Wouldnt even talk about it til I told her we wouldnt go camping without one and then she conveniently came across a pink 22 hand gun.

PMags are definitely on the way. If some friends of mine can find pink, I'll be ordering those as well and then I can have my gear back haha

Ah, I recognize that smile. A smile only an AR can bring. I wonder which anniversary is the AR-15 anniversary? You got a keeper my friend. I just noticed that this is my 556th post and what is it about, the AR-15. Coincidence?

you shouldn't post anymore. You wouldn't want to ruin it.

Just kidding. You should post A LOT until you get to 762 posts. And make sure that one's about an AR10. or a .300 BLK SBR.

A happy wife means a happy family, and when an AR makes the little lady happy, you're a lucky guy.

Grin and bear it, my friend. Grin and bear it. Plasti-Dip, DuraCoat or similar. Or, one of those mixed modes like from the link above. So long as it doesn't affect function, and so long as it becomes an extension of her own hands in a fight.

And when she starts to out-shoot you cold, every time ... smile wide and thank your lucky stars.
