That is an interesting looking rifle. Perhaps Santa will be extra generous this year.
I saw it earlier today on the SIGForum. The one thing that surprised me is that it comes with NO sights! I was expecting at least a "flip-up" so you could bust a couple of caps out of the box.
Not that the lack of sights will keep me from lusting after one.......

My dealer didn't have one, so I put one on order (remember my birthday dilemma back in September?). Should be here just after the first of the year. Nice thing is that it'll take all of those AR mags that I've got loaded up. I'm gonna put an ACOG or Eotech on it.

CLASS3NH was supposed to send me a custom built one with a gold plated trigger...as a Christmas Present but, I just called my local dealer and it has not arrived yet.

Very nice. Anyone know the cost? Being a SIG, I know it's going to be high. I'm thinking $1500-$2000.
I wouldn't be brave enough to spend that much on a brand new design. I would give it a year or two to let others be the guinea pigs while they work out any possible problems.

Is it really any different from the SIG 550 series? I thought it was just a semi-auto 550 modified to accept AR mags and built here in the U.S.

Speaking of operating system, what kind is it? From my initial impression, it looks like it could be a variant of of the FN-FAL family. Although, the buffer tube strikes me as AR 15. I've seen AK 47's with aftermarket buffer tube stocks, so I could be wrong there.
My bet it's FN-FAL's adjustable gas block design.
