Shotguns: Your Preferred buck and slug!

We all know that every one has a preferred caliber but what about Buckshot and slugs?

It is said that #1 buck is the best for HD/SD followed by 00.

    What do you prefer? Manufacturer?

For years I've loaded only Federal Flight control 00 buck into my SG, I believe the product number is LE13200. Slugs are also by Federal.

I agree with your choices. I would add #0 buck as a good option.

Slugs? I like everything about the PDX1 on paper. Never tried them, so no real opinion.
SD buckshot? I've never seen a hardcore recommendation by experts other than #4 shot.
There WILL be patents with this (simple) discovery. That, and "type III levers". It's untapped wealth, waiting for you who Google. Or your kids. People expanding on the potential are welcome to elucidate; I didn't phrase it well

I ordered some Sellier&Bellot #1 buck from Sgammo along with some Dupleks 2.75" 1oz Monolit28 slugs. Can't wait to try them out.

000 buck, when my use of the shotgun is in a campsite where "fur" and human encounters may take place.

As I am out in the county with no neighbor concerns, 00 buck for home defense. I want something that will shoot through concealment.

    Cover vs Concealment......know the difference!

12G SLUG for HD. What's not to like about a 3/4 INCH HOLE going in?
I'm just a spoke in the wheel but not a big deal.
