Is there a hot set up for these? it seems like I read somewhere that there are a number of tweaks that people do to there but I forgot where I read it. I love mine seems like it just takes the abuse and all you need to do is keep it clean. would not want to guess how many M's of rounds have been sent down range by mine.

There are tons of neat things you can do with a 10/22. Building them up is one of my very favorite firearms related things to do.
How do you want to use yours?

I have one with a butler creek heavy barrell and a cheap red dot mounted on it. Its murder on the jack rabbits in the desert, and the extra weight is not a problem.
I will support gun control when you can guarantee all guns are removed from this planet. That includes military and law enforcement. When you can accomplish that, then I will be the last person to lay down my gun. Then I will carry the weapon that replaces the gun.

10/22's are like old Chevy's. Easy to customize and tons of aftermarket parts available. Check out the forums at http://rimfirecentral.com/forums/ That's where I got my ideas.

A tricked out 10/22 Ruger is a joy to hold and use. I agree that the 10/22 and an older Chevy have a lot in common. Let your imagination be your guide. The objective is, of course, one ragged hole at your chosen yardage. Very doable.

I have the Wallyworld stainless model. I do not know of a more fun gun. Jump on one.

There is no end to stuff you can do to/with a 10/22. They're not priced beyond outrage, and their ammo's cheap, too.
Whatever sins Bill Ruger committed, he deserves some cred for the 10/22 (so, I guess does the U.S. Army Ordnance Department for designing/approving the 10/22's inspiration, the M1 Carbine)
