    Sight Problems

    I have a Bushmaster XM15-E2S. My problem is this, the entire rear sight swivels back and forth it is spring loaded when i let the sight go it is cocked to the left. Is this just something i need to tighten up or is something wore out?

    That is, oddly enough, a properly functioning A2 style sight.

    It looks odd, but it will work fine. If the appearance really drives you nuts, you can shim it.

    Thank's Matt, but it throws the windage off, you can tell by just eyeballing it, if it is normal thats fine but it drives me nuts!!!!!!!!

    You can't tell by "eyeballing" it.

    It depends on how much the sight is cocked.
    It's possible that the sight base is not dimensionally correct.

    First - flush the sight with solvent and use an air source to remove any grit or foreign matter.

    Then set the sight to MECHANICAL ZERO.

    Now take it to the range. IF you do not have enough windage
    adjustment to center your groups on target - you may need to
    replace a part.
