Remington 7615?

Tonight I was watching Shooting Gallery on the Outdoor Channel. The show was about the 5.11 Challenge. When they got to the rifle competition they used the Remington 7615. I liked what I saw and got real interested in this rifle. Does anyone here have any experience with the 7615? If so what do you think of it? I like pump shotguns, but have never shot a pump rifle. I'd like to try this one out. Thanks in advance for any info.

Dont know what a 7615 is but the old 760's were good guns i have 2 and the 7600's werent bad either

I used to hunt with the 760's a lot both are in 300 savage and pretty accurate one advantage is if your used to shotgunning its the same setup

I never used the 7615, but I have shot the 760 in 308. I think you will find the Remington pump rifles very reliable and dependable.

For those who don't know the 7615 is a Remington 760 in 223 that accepts M-16 mags. It is shorter and has tactial peep sights, but the mechanics are the same as the 760 series.

The 760 is the same rifle but in 308 with only the standard 5 round mag.

Not to hijack the thread, but my dad's half-brother gave me their father's Remington 760 (made in 1951), about ten years ago, chambered in .300 Savage.

With 180-grain bullets, that puppy shoots 1/2 MOA at 100 yards. I kid you not. They will shoot as well the person behind the stock.

I have trouble getting my hands on it (my wife hunts with it, and we all know that goes). Great rifle.

I've read a couple of articles in the gun rags about the 7615 and really like the idea. I would love to get my hands on one but have yet to see one in person. I have a 7600 .30-06 and love it. Mine is very accurate. I think they have better balance than the 7400 semis which I passed up for my pump. Seems like the 7615 would be a great shtf rifle with AR mags and would expect it to be as accurate as its big brother.
