A new arrow in the quiver

Picked up a new toy the other day...

Savage 111 Long Range Hunter 7mm. Vortex 3X9X40 optic.

She's hanging out with her friend, a Savage 10FCP-SR 308 running a 10X42 SWFA optic.

Either one of those'll do just fine.

Love the idea of a Savage in 7mm. Just haven't had the long-distance need. If ever I head out elk hunting and need to make a 500yd shot, though, a sexy Savage 7mm just might do.

    Enjoy the new unit.

Nice pair! I like the cheek rest. Did that come with it?

Yes, truthfully its not that great. There are other aftermarket ones out there that are much more comfy but it helps you get a decent cheekweld.

Tell me a little more about the chassis and the mag well on the model 10.

Its factory. I have a custom rifles with everything aftermarket, but the 10 comes just like you see it, bottom metal and chassis complete! It holds 10 and 5 round mags respectively.
