OK then. I have decided to go down the dark path. Looking at AK-47"s. I have read every page on this section and a lot of other pages from other sections. What I am looking for, in particular, is where you guys got them from. I have maybe 5 different places to look. You guys would be doing me a great thing by letting me know where you got yours. I'm gonna let this ride for 24 hours and check out what I see. Guns and mags and ammo. Thanx

I bought my Romanian GP WASR10 from a local gun shop in my town, for $415 NIB. I couldn't be happier with it. I'll tell you it won't win any firearm beauty contests, or target matches, but it works, it really does work. It will feed FMJs and HPs without a single hiccup, and I'm able to hit my target dead center, out to about 200 yards. Some people have bad experiences with Romanian AK clones, but I haven't had a single problem with mine. It's imported by Century Arms International.

I got all of mine through private deals. One of the best places to check is AR15.com. They have a section devoted to AK style rifles. Lots of technical stuff too. If at all possible try to do an in state deal as you most likely won't have to involve a dealer. That way there is no paperwork (no government record) of your purchase, which would be a big plus should HR 1022 become law.Originally Posted by mech1369dlw
