    Browning Shotgun

    Hey all

I just won a shotgun from the Manufacturer that my Dealership represents.

It's a Browning BPS Stalker 3.5" pump shotgun. Synthetic grip and stock. It's all black (oh scary looking).

Anyone have any experience with this brand. Est on what retail might be on this gun? (curious to see for when the 1099 comes)

Are there accessories avail to convert this to a house gun? (shorter barrel, folding stock.... etc?

    Thanks
    MikeV

BPS is a great shotgun. I started using one because I'm left handed and the BPS has bottom ejection. The stalker makes a great wet weather gun. MSRP for the 3.5" is about $600. I have had mine for close to ten years now and it has been a great shotgun. I'll be giving it to my oldest son when he gets big enough to shoot a 12ga. The way the Brownings are built it will be around for a long time. As for accessories, I have no idea. Mine was purchased strictly for hunting.

    This Gun Is Worthless...

It will only cause you problems...bad reputation...cheap...
You certainly don't want to keep this 'bad apple' around...

However, being the thoughtful guy that I am, I will send you $50 for it...

    Kidding of course...
    You have a well-made shotgun there...probably $500-600...(great shotguns could cost 3-4 times+)...still, a good gun!
It should prove to be a real plus to your collection...if you don't have a collection, start one!

    Stay armed...stay safe!

Well, I have never had a BPS but the A-5 is a great shotgun. Browning makes quality stuff.

I use a BPS for duck and upland hunting. No mods for HD that I know of. It has served me well for years. The mag feed cut off arm got out of shape and had to be replaced.
Other than that and a bit of surface rust in wet conditions, I really like my BPS .

    Browning makes an awesome product.

Now you have to get one of those cool buckmark stickers for the back of your truck.

The Browning BPS has several things going for it as a Home Defense Shotgun. In fact, there's a place called "Michiguns" (web search for it) that cuts a slot in the right-side of the receiver so that you can load a shell DIRECTLY into the chamber (rather than first into the magazine tube & then shucking the pump to chamber the round). I know of several serious LEOs who prefer the BPS design because of it doesn't use a carrier to lift the the shell upward from the mag to the chamber. Also, gravity (straight down) is the force aiding empty shell ejection. They see the BPS design as less complex & therefore more reliable.
