    New AR-15!

Just procured a DPMS AR-15 M4. Two 30 round mags, Sweet. Fires like a dream. Now have to figure out how to tell the wife!! I traded a Lama .380 auto and $400.00 for it. Sucks living here in Panama City Beach, FL. No firing ranges near by!! I have to drive 2 hours to a range. Anyone have a place to get ammo cheap? Around here it runs about $150.00 per 250rds.

I enjoy going to Academy Sports, not sure if you are near one but I think you can order online. I haven't seen any other retailer that has their ammo selections and prices. Check it out.

    Congradulations on the weapon.

For ammo check Aimsurplus they get military surplus 5.56 every so often.

    Have fun.

    (sorry, it was obligatory...)

Enjoy the new rifle, and watch out for BRD. You'll know when BRD is sneaking up on you when you see the following signs and symptoms:

    - An unexplained yearning for an EoTech
    - Visiting the Larue Tactical site and drooling
    - The UPS man brings you so many boxes marked "ORM-D" than you start to wallpaper with the stickers

There's no cure, though, so when these develop, just accept the inevitable.

Blame it on Sixto - now that is a viable plan.

I bought two safes...a short one for pistols and jewelry...a 'new' tall one for my long guns...the wife cannot open either...I never open the tall safe in her presence, and she has never asked about its contents...

Congrats on the new DPMS! I have a DPMS upper in .223 and the AP4 in .308. Both are excellent.

Jewelry aside, and the DPMS is generally a good quality rifle, but I just love my Rock River Arms AR1240 (M16). OK, it may have cost a bit more, but I get a dynamite warranty, and a quality firearm that I don't have to take to the gunsmith to "fix" what ain't right. Owned a DPMS, purchased outright for $725. Spent $350 to try and 'Fix' things. Sold it for $700, and went to Rock River. No Further Expense. Maybe I got a lemon from DPMS, who knows?
